We Have our 4/15/10 "Spring In" Goo Times Givaway Winners (and a nod to Seinfeld)

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Before getting to our winner, we thought we kick off this post with a nod to Seinfeld per chin4me's comment!

Although we here at Erik's certainly don't advocate Jerry's actions or words (we do not condone you doing what Jerry does if you see someone walking away with the last Marble Bread or Lemon Bread), the Goo Times is a fan of sitcoms so any chance to put up a clip from Seinfeld as it relates to Erik is an opportunity we are going to take!

First, a couple of replies to some comments left by our readers!

Marissa D. said... Seasonal bread? I didn't even know Erik's offered it! Except for the nondescript menu listing ("Seasonal Bread $1.99") on the website, I couldn't find any more information about it, either. What kinds of bread are sold seasonally? Marissa, sorry about that, we are still finalizing our "seasonal bread" schedule a bit, so we haven't put it up (but will). I'm glad you brought this up, as we will make it a priority to put up a tentative schedule for our seasonal breads. We offer seasonal bread on a rotating basis, i.e. Lemon Bread, Marble Bread, etc, so please be sure to check with an Erik's Near You! (and very soon www.eriksdelicafe.com)

James said... The lemon bread is my favorite because it's the perfect combination of sweet and pucker and goes great with a glass of iced tea. Weird, huh? James, not weird at all! This seems like a very good combination. We will give it a try (and also wanted to share it with our readers as it sounds delicious!) .

Shirley P said... Just tried both the banana nut and the marble bread - delish! I can see the marble bread with a scoop of either chocolate or vanilla ice cream and some chocolate syrup on top. What a yummy dessert that would be. Hope to find the lemon bread and the blueberry buckle - neither of which were at my local Erik's. So, another reason to go back before Sunday! Shirley, this also sounds like a delicious combination. We will also give this one a try (and also wanted to share it with everyone!). Thanks for the suggestion!
