Hiiiiiiiii!!!!

I love Erik's Deli Sandwiches. I'm lucky enough to live practically right around the corner from one. I love how they're fresh and tasty, as well as so creative. I always have a hard time picking just one sandwich. Lucky for me my son & I both come along, so I can always sample just a bite of their sandwiches. :)
I had myself a Bahh Mi, wow that's all I gotta say!
I'm quite the chatter bug when it comes to the social media...Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, Yelp...I'm into them all. It's amazing when a business manager recognizes you from a review you've written online. Quite flattering, I must say!

Until next time...

Thank you Sandy for the wonderful and informative comment! We appreciate the feedback!

We also wanted to take a moment to address PickledBeets comment: PickledBeets, do you mind emailing the Goo Times with the location you visited? We'd like to follow up with the location, because our goo and cheese portions have not changed and we'd like to get to the bottom of this! Please also know, that we would never reduce our portion size in an attempt to lower calorie counts. While we certainly are always looking for ways to reduce calorie counts, it will never be done at the expense of portion size or taste!

With apologies to the Boy Scouts, but sincere wishes for a very happy 38th Anniversary and many more!

While I am enjoying the new Torta de Barbacoa, my default, go-to sandwich is normally a super delicious REO Speedwagon with a side of your marvelous chili. :)

Happy 38th anniversary Erik's! I'll definitely stop by for the free cookie tomorrow (and lunch)! That would be a perfect treat for my son, whose birthday is tomorrow! My fav sandwich is Sweet Liberty, and my kids fav is marble bread. Thanks for all the good stuff you've got there!

Congrats on your 38th anniversary! I LOVE the Torta de Barbacoa, and when I asked my local Erik's sandwich maker if she could recommend a spicy sauce to go with it, she pulled out something amazing! Definitely one of my favorites - although there are many others. We go every week and I can't wait to go get a cookie tomorrow :)

Happy Anniversary! There are 37 meal offerings on the current menu-whether a sandwich, soup, salad, wrap, or combo--each one is great! In honor of the occasion, I am going to try a different one on each visit (shouldn't take long!). On my 38th visit, I'll celebrate in style with a big, old slice of carrot cake, or maybe a warm double fudge brownie, or some mouth-watering marble bread. Hmmm, I may start the celebration in "your bakery" tomorrow with the chocolate chip cookie, plus...!

Happy Anniversary Erik's! I'll definitely come help celebrate tomorrow! My favorite Erik's sandwich of all time was the Sunset Special. One time I met Erik himself at the Aptos location, and he said it was his favorite too! But now it's gone. Sadness. But hey, can't stay away! I love the Turkey Walnut Pesto, and the Raging Bull has been a favorite also - but the 3 new sandwiches might give them a run for their money -- they are all super! Went in with the whole family and we mixed and matched and it was hard to decide which was best. And did the person above perhaps get the Banh Mi chili sauce on the Barbacoa? That sounds like an awesome idea! Here's to 38 more at least! -Andrea

My baby and I share a bowl of "soups" and an REO Speedwagon for lunch each Friday at our Santa Clara Erik's since it is across from our favorite park. Last week we got a little wild and went for a Pilgrim's Progress because she loves "avocada". In celebration of Erik's 38th we will sing Happy Birthday while we enjoy our chocolate chip cookie. And end the song with "and many more 'til your a hundred and four".....

It's hard to believe Erik's Deli is 38 since Erik is only 39! I will be celebrating with a Del Monte Special. My favorite thing about Erik's Deli is the consistency of the sandwiches...no matter which location I choose. Oh, yes, the freshness of the ingredients (especially the avocados) just MAKES the sandwiches great. Happy, happy, birthday, baby!

CONGRATULATIONS! wow 38 years...your as old as me and even better looking. I will stop by tomorrow and savor a turkey walnut pesto sandwich and a cookie. :)

By the way, your pumpkin bread blows the competitors out of the water. You not only give a delicious bread, but you give a generous portion! Approximately 10 bites of sheer bliss!

I look forward to the next 38 years, Dawn. Dawn_112@hotmail.com

Erik's... Where have you been all my life? 38 years! You are almost as old as I am, but I had no idea! I guess, since you didn't come to San Jose until the 80's, I would not have known. Now I get to go to one of the originals, in Aptos, all the time. Congratulations Erik's! Wishing you another 38 years and more! I will be celebrating with my favorite, Raging Bull.

Wow, I had no idea Erik's Deli has been around for 38 years! Congratulations! I've only been going to Erik's Deli for about 10 years when a group of friends decided to go eat at the Mountain View one on Sunday after church. My friend told me she likes Abbott's Habit so I decided to try that and was amazed at how good it was. Abbot's Habit has been my favorite ever since!

Happy 38th! Erik's has been around longer than I have--that's great! :-) I have a hard time choosing a "favorite" anything! There are so many great sandwiches that I have more than one favorite: REO Speedwagon is my original favorite, but I also alternate between these: Turkey Walnut Pesto, Pilgrim's Progress, Del Monte Special, Rio Grande Club, and Farmer's Market. I also love the green salad with the house vinaigrette. I will continue returning to Erik's and recommending it to people for years to come!

Keeping this post simple, my favorite is the natural high. It is particularly good, in my opinion, without the sprouts, and with a bit of extra goo, and then waiting a bit to eat it, so that things melt a bit, and are still warm.
