Y'all pulled the pork out from under us last year and now it looks like it is time to do it again... It is a great sandwich and should remain on the forever menu. And as always it goes well with a Chili Bread Bowl.

Pilgrim's Progress loves a play on words! Sounds like John W is "chili'in" at Erik's! (at this point, Raging Bull stepped in shaking his "bread," and told Pilgrim's Progress to stop!) : )

I will be going on my own "personal vacation" with the Roman Holiday! Enjoying the delicious meats and cheese enveloped in a fresh sourdough roll and surrounded by tasty tidbits! Erik's Roman Holiday will make everyday seem like a holiday!!!

Wow, this looks like an exciting world tour! My best friend and I plan to get out our passports, and take the tour first to our local Erik's! She's going to order the Roman Holiday, and I'm ordering the Torta de Barbacoa. Then.... we're swapping sandwich halves to try them both. That's the first leg of the world tour...

Then, later in the week, we'll take our passports to the Erik's Deli closest to Capitola Beach, and order a Banh Mi sandwich, and decide which other new one on the spur of the moment. We'll take those to go, and sit down on the benches at the seawall to imagine other far away places, and decide on the next leg of the world journey for the following weeks!

I look forward to trying the Roman Holiday. Hopefully it can take me away to a special place. Wow, could I get a yum to all of the special meats, cheeses & the pepperoncinis? Topped with olive oil, vinegar...ah lovely tanginess. The perfect sandwich to eat in a park under a tree. Now we could all afford a Roman Holiday! Time to plan that trip...1st stop, Erik's Deli!

I'm always in the mood for the spicy flavor of something exotic, so I will definitely order the Banh Mi! This Asian equivalent of our American "po boy" sandwich matches both my taste and wallet!

The Roman Holiday sounds really delicious. And to paraphrase the old "Calgon ads," — "Erik's … take me away!" I'll be by for this sandwich soon.

I'm going to try the Bahn Mi but I don't eat cilantro so I'll have to ask them to leave it out.
