OUR "PILGRIM'S PROGRESS GREAT COMMENT WINNER IS...

As the barn door swings open, I walk in heavy footed, spurs dragging from a hard morning roping cattle (also known as 6th graders). I deliriously walk up to the counter and look for the line. But, oh! There isn't one! A friendly cowboy takes my order, giving suggestions when I'm confused. My little white card is punched and I think to myself, "only four more stamps to go until my free sandwich, yay!" I wander to one of the many clean tables to choose from and sit in peace as my eyes enjoy wandering through the pitchforks and horseshoes on the wall. Within seconds my turkey walnut pesto sandwich and minestone soup arrive. "Ahhhhhh." As I regain my strength my trash is politely taken away. I am ready to to finish my day as I return to the ranch just a little bit happier. Maybe I won't have to tie those cattle up after all...

Pilgrim's Progress responds; "love it!" Raging Bull follows up to ask Pilgrim's Progress if there is anything else left to say and is told, "there is, but you stole my Turkey & Brie!"

I have to say the Craisy Chicken Salad sandwich sounds so yummy! I will definitely have to go try one tonight! If I have to share with a friend, I would get two sandwiches and we'd each share half of our sandwiches so we could both have a taste of more of your delicious sandwiches!

Via Email (from Lynne K.): Please enter me in your current contest. I would order a Square Meal for both myself and my husband with a Marrakesh Express for me and my husbands Choice for him. He always orders something different; whereas I always get my same favorite.

Share, share, share -- I talk about this all day long with my 1st grade students! I would share the CRAISY CHICKEN SALAD because I love the pun and chicken salad sounds delicious. Also, it looks like one of those sandwiches that would barely fit in your mouth -- I think those are fun. :)

Wowza - two sandwiches! We'll get an REO Speedwagon and a Turkey & Brie to share. Half of each means twice as much goodness. YUM!!! Think I'll pick this up today.

Not too Craisy about the new choices, and looking at them might make you go Cross-Eyed, but if those were my only choices, I guess the Turkey & Brie times two would fit the bill...
Truth be told a Raging Bull and a Texas Jailhouse Chili bowl make a great meal, unless I feel like sharing with my lovely wife.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers and kids take momma to Erik's!

I have tried both the Craisy Chicken Salad and the Turkey and Brie sandwiches and they are both really good! I tried the Turkey and Brie last weekend, putting the cranberry sauce on the side, because I wanted to do a taste test to see what I liked the best. I actually preferred the Cranberry sauce on! :-D I may give the meatloaf sandwich a try as well, to see if I like it as much as the others. All of these sandwiches are ones that I wouldn't usually try, but I have been really pleasantly surprised! This proves that Erik's sandwiches are always excellent!!!

It's a new day! For generations my wife and I LOVED the meatloaf wonder. Now with an ever changing menu I have tried the special board each time and been very satisfied (Did I mention my LOVE for those dill pickles!). No new favorites yet...still sampling! The restaurant oozes (in a wonderful way) the welcoming atmosphere that settles the mood to a slower calmer time that we both delight in.

So, there I was looking over the shoulder in the lab at a co-workers PC display showing the local area map replete with numerous (it was a lot!) potbelly stove icons. I realized he was looking for an Erik's near his route to/from work. WOW so many more and there were still a few I had not yet sampled AND I made a closer bond with my fellow Erik's fan! A TRUE revelation! He was a great guy before, but now I could really appreciate him as real discerning member of our band.
