On Father's Day, we will be heading to the Mountain View Erik's for two REO Speedwagons. That's the favorite sandwich of the Dad at our house. It's also my favorite one, too.

Well, my father taught me how to experience being "high" without drugs, and every time I see the "natural high" sandwich on the menu, I think about that. So, for me, it will the natural high at Eriks Deli.

When there are so many good things to choose, how do I just select only two things? - even if one of them is free!! It's really great to have all the opportunities to get to Erik's. My problem always is, I have a few "favorites" that make it difficult to pick anything else - or new. Sometimes, though, a new item really calls to me. Then the disappointment comes when that new item is no longer on the menu. But all's well, because there are still the "favorites."

While my father lives far away and has never been to an Erik's, I'll be having a Thai Chicken Wrap (TCW) in his honor. And later, tell him how I almost had a Hot Dog instead, as my love of Hot Dogs is an inherited trait.

I almost always go for the Pilgrim's Progress, while Dad likes to mix his up! I'm betting he'll get Turkey Walnut Pesto... or maybe the Pot Belly, Chicken Pesto, or Raging Bull! And, as always, the Chili Bread Bowl! :D
