We Have our "Souper" Winners!

Hi everyone, before we list our "souper" winners (horrible horrible pun), we thought we'd kick off this upcoming "Souper Bowl" week with the Super Bowl Shuffle from the 1985 Bears:

However, before we list the winners, we wanted to get to a couple of customer comments, along with a final count of our French Picnic v. Souper Bowl "Poll" (which will allow me to give away a couple of more Free Sandwich cards!):

Jen: "Souper Bowl combo. But what I really want is for the Cannonball to be on the perminant menu because I love going here and my husband's favorite thing is the Cannonball and he doesn't like to go as often when the Cannonball isn't an option. Please please please make it part of the "always menu."" The Cannonball has my vote, I'm (Raging Bull) going to push this for a permanent addition or at the very lease a permanent place on our What's New rotation. I'll be passing on these comments and feedback to Operations.

Hipstr: "How about a raging bull salad!!!!" Not sure if your the same person who sent in an email, if not, this is the second request we've gotten so it is something to consider. I know the suggestion piqued our C.O.O.'s interest, so it is an idea floating around out there.

Joseph: "I love love love Erik's deli and no matter what appears on the menu, it's all fantastic. I have not met a person yet who can't find something tasty that they enjoy. My favorite has always been the REO Speedwagon, but now that I've gone veggie, I'm on the hunt for a new favorite. I'll just have to try them all!" Don't worry, we plan on expanding our vegetarian options this summer. Also, it isn't on the permanent menu and the signage came down, but the Farmer's Market is available at our locations because we now carry Sweet Molasses Bread on a regular basis.

Rickzeek: "I've never had the french picnic, so that's my pick. I wasn't very happy with my last souper bowl." If you don't mind, do you mind letting us know which location and other details, I'd like to pass this on the Deli in question.

Aaron: "Souper bowl. Of course, we are a vegetarian family, so this is an easy choice. Also, I hope you do add the farmer's market to the permanent menu, as that is often what we get." There won't be signage for the Farmer's Market, but it is available at our locations now as a "regular" menu item.

Cindy Couling / LunaGraphica: "Whay of coourse zee french peecneec. Oui Oui Monsier Eric! ;-)" Love the response!

Danamarks: "Both look so good, it makes it almost too difficult to choose. The French Picnic reminds me of going to the boulangerie and eating in the Jardin des Tuileries, so I will go with that one!" I'm with you on the Jardin des Tuileries! (fondly remember spending time reading in the garden while in Paris)

Janet: "The french picnic absolutely. Really lame that your blog doesn't allow name/hidden email address as a comment choice." It happened when we moved over to Google Blogger. Our previous Blog allowed it, but was just too hard to manage. I'm doing some digging around on Google to see if I can fix it, but if anyone has any tips it would be much appreciated (and I (Raging Bull) will throw a free sandwich card to the person who helps me out!)

I'd (Raging Bull) also like to say how much I enjoyed the responses in French. It took me back to my days learning French at Harbor High School in Santa Cruz!

And...one more thing before the winners...We'd like to announce the results of our impromptu poll (along with a couple of free sandwich cards for those whose choice was the winner!).
After tallying the votes and no recount, the totals came to (keep in mind for the sake of the results, not all comments "voted").

The Winner? with thirty-eight (38) votes...THE FRENCH PICNIC!!!

We also decided to mix it up a bit (or more specifically, Raging Bull did) and further expand our free sandwich card giveaways. Therefore, from here on out, whenever there is a poll the first three people who "voted" for the winner will get a Free Sandwich Card courtesy of the Goo Times!

Thus, our three (3) winners are...

  1. Ew
  2. shortydx52
  3. selddap

And now without further "a goo" (the puns don't stop!) our ten (10) Goo Times Giveaway Winners!

  1. Nicole (Pink Design)
  2. Hud's Hut
  3. Dess
  4. Gail Gardner
  5. ltime
  6. Staceybug
  7. Joseph
  8. Antoine (Tony P)

  10. Cindy Couling/LunaGraphica

Please email us with your mailing address and we will get your free sandwich card mailed out! thegootimes@eriksdelicafe.com (all information is private and shared with no one)...

Till Next Time...
