Happy Holidays Erik's Email Club Members!

Happy Holidays Everyone!

In anticipation of the Holiday break, we have fifteen (15) free sandwich cards to give away and a $25.00 gift certificate! Like our previous contests, post a reply either on the Goo Times or Facebook and we will conduct a drawing to determine the winners.

The cut off date to post is Sunday, December 20 at 11:59pm PST, so any posts after that time will not be eligible.

For your post, just let us know a sandwich with character you would love to see on our permanent menu.

For example: I "Raging Bull," would love to see the Cannonball Express II on our permanent menu. I'd also like to start a viral campaign and see if we can get Mr. Pibb Extra back as a fountain drink. I love my Mr. Pibb, so I'm going to try to do what I can to bring it back! (though I've "cheated" a bit, as Mr. Pibb is not a sandwich, though I feel it goes great with an REO)

Also, remember to check back in next week to determine if your a winner and email your mailing address to: thegootimes@eriksdelicafe.com.

Till next time...

I know it's not a sandwich, but I would like you to bring back your delicious Cream of Brocolli soup. It was my favorite Friday lunch.

The serving portion of the meats on the sandwiches really seems meager these days, sadly. Enough to not want to go to Erik's anymore, and I hate that-I love Eriks's otherwise!

I would be devastated if RAGING BULL was to ride off into the sunset. Keep the menu the same.

To Anonymous: that is a concern we are addressing, especially re: the Holiday Sandwich and the Pilgrim's Progress. However, please know that we strive to provide the same, consistent portions in all our sandwiches and that there are times that if presentation isn't correct that the portions look smaller than they actually are. I can assure you that no decision was made to decrease portion sizes (in fact as I mentioned above we are looking to increase the portion size in some sandwiches, i.e. the Pilgrim's due to customer feedback). In the interim please do not hesitate to contact us and let us know which location you have visited as both our staff here and the franchisee will want to address your concerns. Thanks!

My husband tried the French Picnic and liked it. I still like Abbott's Habit. I suggest giving the pickle spear automatically with a take out order. I've asked for it on a take out order and they sometimes don't give it.

I love love love the Holiday sandwich...stuffing on a sandwich is divine. Please bring this sandwich back during the non-holiday times!

Also, I miss the meatloaf sandwich...what was it called, "charley horse" or "cross-eyed charley"? I can't remember the name, but I do remember the sandwich.

I loved the southwest chicken wrap. It's a great alternative to those who want a twist on a regular sandwich. Please, please make it a part of your regular menu!!

How about a mushroom and onion sauteed sandwich on a roll (with special Goo, of course). Could be called a shroom-zoom.
Also, I really miss your wonderful Beef Stew. Any chance of that returning ?

Thanks for offering us good, healthy food at affordable prices.

I loved those delicious Bay Shrimp wraps that you had last summer. You may not want to have it on the menu year-round, but I do hope that you bring it back next summer. It makes a perfect summer lunch -- light and refreshing, and a nice alternative to salads.

I'd like to see the Abott's Habit!!! I have a Habit of eating that same sandwich every time I go to Erick's, so I would hate to have to choose another one if they do away with my "Habit" (LOL)

I still haven't tried anything other than the Pilgrim's Progress--I don't know what I'd eat if you took it off the menu! I think the amount of meat is just perfect, though I always get no onions and substitute lettuce for the sprouts.

Please keep ERIK’S REUBEN on the permanent menu. Do you know how hard it is to find a good Pastrami sandwich with Sauerkraut and Swiss Cheese, heated on Corn Rye Bread in this valley? (Especially smothered in “Secret Goo®”)! Keep up the good work.

I want you to bring back the Widow Bennett! I cannot be the only person in the bay area who remembers that melty, delicious pile of warm cheesy delight on dark pumpernickel bread! OMG I miss that sandwich so much. For the first few months after it was pulled, I could still order it as those who worked there were familiar with the sandwich. But then...sadly...it was gone for good.

OK, if it can't be a resurgence of the WB, then definitely PLEASE make the French Picnic a permanent sandwich. Holy smokes, that sandwich is soooo good, after eating one, I want to have another! The roasted garlic is what makes it.

I always get either a Natural High or Del Monte, and hope you will always have those. But I also love the Holiday sandwich, so please make it a year-round offering.

I am a Del Monte Sandwich lover, but it is taking a back seat to Holiday Sandwich, the Cannonball, and the French Picnic this season.
So, can I vote for all of these ? If we have to choose just one, include the Cannonball, as
it was my son's favorite.

My favorites are the Raging Bull and Sweet Liberty. I thought there was a Pilgrim's Progress, but now I see that it's off the menu, at least online. Hmm...there will be a lot of unhappy people. Please keep your Tomato Basil Bisque soup. It's fantastic!

I Pilgrims Progress, would like to see the Macaroni & Cheese back on the permanent menu. As well as the tortellini pasta salad. Those were THE BEST! The only thing my kids would eat from Erik's. I would not like to see the French Picnic! It was TERRIBLE. The bread was rubbery, the meat dry, the garlic WAY TOO BIG (whole pieces of garlic on a sandwich? They couldn't run a knife over it once or twice?) It did sound so good but after I got home and took one bite, I drove back and returned it.

bekah1224: that has been an issue for some french picnics...if they are not built correctly then the garlic, etc. overpowers the sandwich. Could you let us know (thegootimes@eriksdelicafe.com), the location as I'd like to report this back to our Operations Team. Thanks!

I can't get beyond Eric's Reuben; as much as I'd like to try other sandwiches, I love your Reuben. However, I do ask for extra sauerkraut as I like to be able to taste it along with the other wonderful ingredients. The toasted corn rye bread it's on is fantastic too. So please keep it on your menu always!
