Welcome Erik's Email Club Members: "Soup's On"

Welcome Erik's Email Club Members!

As stated in the email, the first ten (10) people to post their favorite soup from Erik's will get a free sandwich card courtesy of the Goo Times!

I am a fan of the "cvr," (chicken vegetable rice) especially when I'm able to dip my sandwich in it...

Although it is highly unlikely it will occur, a small disclaimer: comments under this post that are before the release of today's email will not be eligible for the free sandwich offer...

My favorite is the chicken vegetable rice too! Great on cold days and days that you're sick. So much better than the normal chicken noodle soup. Yum yum!

I have a great suggestion about these comments, for the Eriks webteam/promotion team.....

These contests where the first ten get a free sandwich are great, but once there are ten posts, there is no incentive to make a post. further, if you are in the first ten, there is an incentive to be very, very quick in writing. Instead, you want to increase the incentive to post even after the first ten are there, and you want to increase the incentive for early writers to write more. Therefore, I have a great idea, worth thousands of dollars for marketing brilliance, and all I want (if you adopt it) is a single sandwich at Eriks, because the sandwiches are so good. On trust, here is the idea, so simple: Instead of saying the first ten get a free sandwich, say ten free sandwiches will be awarded from out of all the posts on the first day. Or out of the first 50 posts. Or something similar. Then, when we get the email, and see there are already 22 posts, so what, I can still win. So, I would write a nice post about the answer, etc. Submitted by Aaron (tlq@me.com) or (aj@ebold.com)

I agree with Aaron...give everyone a chance.

I have actually not ever tried the soups, but it's getting to be the right time of year for a warm bowlful, so I will soon! I especially want to try the chili.

I like Aaron's suggestion. I was not going to post any thing because there are already 10...but since I agree with him, here is my comment: Tomato Basil Bisque! The chili is really good too, I like that its vegetarian.

Wow, I don't know what a URL is, but I know what great soup tastes like ... how about that Tomato Bisque ? Not complicated, but just the right consistency everytime ... warm and yummy, right down to that last scrape against the side of the bowl ... and I always throw in a couple saltines.
I am not anonymous either, I am a gal named Margaret and I don't know what a blinkin URL is ..

We've been having your Pilgrim's Progress sandwich for at least 25 years--maybe longer. We personalize it using your wonderful sourdough bread, lettuce (instead of sprouts), mayo instead of goo and add Monterey Jack cheese--goes perfectly with a side of your to-die-for pasta salad. Wish you were in Arizona--we only get this wonderful sandwich when we're in the Bay Area visiting family.
